Lip Enhancement
Lip filler injections instantly add volume and definition to your lips.
Service Description
Lips are a defining feature of your face, so it’s important that they are well-balanced, symmetrical, and have great volume. Lip fillers, or otherwise described as ‘lip augmentation’ use Hyaluronic Acid Fillers (HA) to restore shape, volume and structure to the lips. As part of the natural ageing process, the lips lose volume and the margins become less defined. Fillers are a simple, quick and relatively pain-free treatment with nearly no downtime. What are HA fillers? Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is a modified form of a chemical found naturally in the skin that helps hydrate, deliver nutrients and retain moisture. As HA is a natural component of the skin, it is naturally metabolised, meaning all forms of HA fillers are temporary, requiring a future top-up. Longevity of results varies depending on the area of the face where fillers are used. When injected into the skin or lips, it can create a more voluminous appearance to leave natural-looking, immediately noticeable and long-lasting results. All dermal fillers used are non-permanent and if indicated, reversible, giving them a good safety rating. Does lip fillers hurt? HA filler contains a local anaesthetic that numbs the area within seconds, allowing maximum comfort during treatment. To further minimise discomfort, topical or injectable anaesthetic can be applied to the treatment area prior to treatment. What brand of fillers are used in clinic? Various brands, densities and delivery techniques are used depending on the treatment area and desired result; every treatment is bespoke. All products used comply with current UK safety standards; brands used include Juvederm, Revenesse, Restylane and Teoxane. How is the treatment carried out? Hannah will complete an consultation prior to the treatment to gain an insight into your lip goals and your medical history will be taken. Once the consultation is complete, a series of photos are taken which are kept in a completely confidential file and used as progress assessments. Next, the lips are cleaned thoroughly with a medical cleaning solution and then topical numbing cream is applied for up to 15 minutes. Once the cream has numbed the lips, the lips are cleaned once again and the treatment process begins. There are many different techniques that can be used to achieve your desired results at this point Hannah will focus on the areas of your lips that you most want to improve.
